Kahnawake Suspends Grand Prive Licenses
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission is one of the most renowned licensees and regulators of online casino gaming. They operate from the territory of Mohawk and have issued licenses to more than 50 operators, who in turn run more than 250 online gaming casinos. This commission is known for its strict rules and regulations, and has recently withdrawn the license from the Grand Prive Group, for having not complied with the rules. The group was also in the news for the wrong reasons for quite some time now.
This suspension has affected the group, which comprises of Bella Vegas, Big Dollar, Casino Grand Bay, Fortune Junction, Grand Bay Casino, Jackpot Wheel, Jupiter Club, Lake Palace and Road House Reels. The advisory notice mentions the reasons for suspension as the Grand Prive group failed to file a Material Change Report informing the Kahnawake Gaming Commission that it had recently changed its software suppliers. The company had switched to Betonsoft software and operated its branch with the prefix ‘bet’ under a Netherlands Antilles License, which had not been apparently reported to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
This suspension also includes disallowing the Grand Prive from operating any of the above mentioned online gaming sites, or any sites working under their control from Kahnawake. The advisory has gone to the extent of informing other online gambling jurisdictions and players at large, that any involvement with the Grand Prive group would be at their own risk, and that the Commission is not responsible if these sites operate from any other jurisdiction. Its rough times for Grand Prive but they have been given ample time to make up for their gross negligence and oversight perhaps, before their rights and licenses are totally withdrawn.
